What is an attribute?
A products attributes are what makes it distinct from other products. Attributes include things like size, color, flavor, package type and other features that are relevant to the category. From a consumer perspective, these attributes are what determine the consideration set and influence the ultimate purchase decision. From a retail perspective, product attributes help define how aisles, departments and shelf sets are organized. Manufacturers use attributes to help define their products’ competitive set. (Note: “Attributes” are also known as “characteristics,” depending on your data supplier.)
What is an attribute wise sales report?
Attribute wise sales reports are a record of sales activity over a particular period of time. These reports display sales against attributes created for items/products, reveal what attributes are doing well, and alert management to any potential issues.
These reports are often generated either by individual sales reps/sales managers and buyers. Attribute reports include data on sales volume,,, revenue, and Attributes.
Prerequisites
Attributes need to be created eg. sizes,colours and need to be linked to items/products.Refer to documents on creating attributes and product administration(attributes).
Where does one find the sales rep wise sales report?
In the Main menu , click on performance analysis
Navigate to Attribute wise sales report
How to Generate data/information in this report
Once you have clicked on Attribute wise sales report you will be directed to this screen shown below.
This report however has different fields for generating data/information such as rows by, column by and report value.
Your Attributes will be displayed in both these fields in the drop downs as well as groups(brand) category,year and month.
Kind of like building your own attribute sales report(how you want to view your data generated.
Report value consists of reporting either by quantity,sales amount ex vat or both against your attributes.
Once these fields are filled out according to thedata/information you wish to generate,
Click on search.
In this document i will use COLOUR @ Row By and SIZE @ Column By and report type as both as shown above.
The report generates showing you the relevant codes/style numbers/items as well the group which in this case we used a brand name, the colour of the items that were sold and the sizes belonging to the colours displayed.
