Credit Sales Management Overview

What is a Credit sale?
Credit sales refers to a sale in which the amount owed will be paid at a later date. In other words, credit sales are purchases made by customers who do not render payment in full, in cash, at the time of purchase with an agreed upon credit limit.
How do I manage credit sales on Posibolt?
Credit sales management allows you to create credit customers and manage them. You are able to set limits or outline credit agreements that your business will use.

Prerequisite:
- Roles permissions that allow Credit Management, e.g. a Cashier role will most certainly not have this feature, unless the organisation permits it, or you will need authorisation, or it will be done by a manager, or administrator.
- An existing customer who has had a Credit Check and is created from either Administration or from the Sales screen with a Credit status that is "Ok"
How do I generate Customer Statement on Posibolt?

A statement that shows credit customer's statement
- Log in to Posibolt and into the correct terminal.
- Click the Main Menu button on the top left of the screen (a left facing arrow)
- Navigate to the right-side of the screen on the menu option and select Credit Sales Management
- Navigate the menu option that appear on the left and select Customer Statement.
- A few options and drop down menus will appear, the first options is Statement Based On, where you will select one of the options available to generate a statement for,
- Select your filters that you need for your report (specify the period over which you want to see this statement), and then type in the name of the Customer you want to manage.
- After your filters and Customer is inserted, click Search
- Select the format you want to use or see, you can generate either a CSV or a PDF statement.
- Select Submit and you will see a download starting on your browser.

How do I manage a Credit Customer on Posibolt?
- Click the Main Menu button on the top left of the screen (a left facing arrow)
- Navigate to the right-side of the screen on the menu option and select Credit Sales Management
- Navigate the menu option that appear on the left and select Credit Management
- Two options will appear to search by, either choose Customer Code or Customer Name
- To the right side you will have extra options, where you can click More and have filter options to search by e.g. filter by organisation.
- Click search to search the Customer Name enter or Customer Code.
- Select a customer and if there are multiple customers with the same name, the one highlighted in YELLOW is the one selected, and all the customer details are going to appear on the right side of the screen.
- On the right side you can choose to select the options to see Invoice Details or Ledger with options SHOW LEDGER by clicked either of the options
- You can select the name in yellow, written in blue (hyperlink), after clicking the name which will show all the Customer's Information
- If you want to edit the Customers Information or Create a New Customer you navigate to the bottom of the screen and choose either one of the options.
- To edit or create a new customer will have the same options(You will need permission to edit a customer or create a new one) and when you are done click save at the bottom of the screen.
How to create a Credit Payment Report on Posibolt?

This is a report that shows all the credit payments for a fixed or custom period.
- Click the Main Menu button on the top left of the screen (a left facing arrow)
- Navigate to the right-side of the screen on the menu option and select Credit Sales Management
- Navigate the menu option that appear on the left and select Credit Payment Report.
- Enter and select an filters you want to include in your report.
- You can choose to a customer by clicking RV Number and it will populate the payment details of that specific customer and/or transaction.

How do I create a Invoice-Wise report on Posibolt?

This is a report that shows all the Invoices generated for a fixed or custom period.
- Click the Main Menu button on the top left of the screen (a left facing arrow)
- Navigate to the right-side of the screen on the menu option and select Credit Sales Management
- Navigate the menu option that appear on the left and select Invoice Wise report.
- Enter and select an filters you want to include in your report.
How do I create a Receivable Report

Receivables Report refers to a report that shows amounts owed to a business, regarded as assets.
- Click the Main Menu button on the top left of the screen (a left facing arrow)
- Navigate to the right-side of the screen on the menu option and select Credit Sales Management
- Navigate the menu option that appear on the left and select Receivable Report.
- Enter and select an filters you want to include in your report.
