How do I do a Physical Stock Take on Posibolt?
Stock Take refers to the process of physically checking stock levels for each product and material you sell to ensure that your data is up-to-date and accurate
- Log in to Posibolt and navigate the Posibolt Main Menu, on the right side you will see Menu options
- Select Stock in the Main Menu, navigate to the sub-menu to locate Activities, and then select the Stock Take (Physical Inventory) option under Activities to be redirected to the Stock Take screen.
- Enter in a Barcode or scan a Barcode, a Description or Product Name, or Invoke a previous Document Number and press Enter. when you confirm one item, locate the bottom right of the screen and click Search to search for the next product
- Select the product(s) if there are multiple and press ENTER, and on the right side of the screen select the quantities of the products that have been counted and verified.
- When you have recorded your products navigate to the left side of the screen and click Save to save the stock take.
If you have multiple stock take documents, they can be merged (merging combines 2 or more sheets of stock takes that are combined to make one sheet with the ones selected). If you don't click "Complete" and "Stock Clear" the status of the stock take will be saved and in Drafted status, which means no changes will happen with the current stock reports and inventory, only complete and
How do I do a physical stock take with a csv to upload or how do I save my physical stock take as a CSV on Posibolt?
- If you have an available csv you can import it, by locating the csv at the bottom of the screen.
- Click csv and more buttons will appear in the same area then click add csv or save as csv (it will download the current items logged and recorded).
- After clicking Add csv you will see a a menu box that will show you your stock, and you can click Choose file and navigate to the folder that has the csv file you want to upload and click open
- Your csv will populate, click Import, and your csv will be imported and populated on the screen.
How you finish the stock take is dependent on your circumstances. after you merge and/or save your stock take, you either complete the stock take by clicking the "Complete" button at the bottom left side of your screen upon selecting your preferred or desired sheet(s) which will complete your stock take and adjust your stock accordingly. The other option is to click "Stock clear" at the bottom left side of your screen upon selecting your preferred or desired sheet(s), this button will complete your stock take as well however it will cause any items/products not counted in the stock take to have a quantity of 0 stock on hand, therefore you must observe caution
